ENVIRONMENT AND THE FUTURE

Industrial production based on the division of labor and international trade are the hallmarks of our civilization’s way of working and living. This requires overcoming distances. And this in turn produces traffic. It is our business purpose to cover distances efficiently when transporting goods. Our promise is that we do this in the most environmentally friendly way possible.

Alternative modes of transport
With regard to road freight transport, we are the most consistent users of the so-called “rolling highway“ across the Alps. 80% of our truck transports through Switzerland and Austria are by rail. This way, each year we save  4.5 million road kilometers, 1.6 million liters of fuel and 4,240 tons of CO2.
We are pioneers in the development of concepts that promote either the replacement of trucks with rail or ship, or a meaningful combination of these modes of transport. We implement such solutions whenever they are the efficient option for our customers.

Unsere LKW-Flotte besteht ausschließlich aus Fahrzeugen der besten Schadstoffklasse Euro 5 und Leichtbauaufliegern mit reduziertem Eigengewicht. Wir steuern die Flotte mit modernster Telematik, um die kürzesten Wege zu befahren, Staus auszuweichen und Leerkilometer zu vermeiden. Im Interesse der Wirtschaftlichkeit. Und mit Rücksicht auf die Umwelt.

Bewusstsein für unternehmerische Verantwortung
Unsere LKW befördern keinen Abfall, Bauschutt oder Abraum. Solches Material soll lokal entsorgt oder zumindest per Bahn oder Schiff transportiert werden. Wir sind uns bewusst, dass wir im Verkehr tätig sind. Deshalb arbeiten wir konsequent daran, seine schädlichen Einflüsse auf Mensch und Umwelt zu begrenzen. Im Interesse der Welt, in der wir leben, der nachfolgenden Generationen und unserer Kunden.
